Its been fun sitting around a table together and crafting with Indian textiles. Crafting for the elderly stimulates the mind, creativity and also the muscles, particularly in the fingers and hands. An engaging and meaningful activity and a fun way to learn about India. We made some candles and lanterns with collage today and spoke about the Indian festival of Diwali (the Festival of Lights) which is celebrated in India and around the world this month.
